Spending a shitload of money on a website and then letting it sit until the next website redesign is STUPID.
There. I said it.
That's why you need CRO.
If you've got enough traffic, you should be A/B testing.
If not, you can do some wannabe CRO—a thorough website analysis with a bunch of suggestions that should improve UX and conversions.
Mind. I said 'should'.
Unlike the others, I won't promise anything.
So what's it gonna be?
Testing OR analysis.
CRO Testing — How does it work?
1. Briefing
We get to know each other first. How do you work? What are your expectations? What do you already know about your clients? We go through an onboarding form together so I can delve deeper into your audience and your services or products.
2. Research
After taking in all the information you’ve provided, I’ll do more audience research. I’ll do anything I can to get to know your ideal customer. With that in mind, I’ll start looking for copy, UX & CRO improvements on and off your pages.
3. Testing
Based on my research, I’ll create a list of improvements and hypotheses. We’ll implement a few UX changes, and then we’ll start A/B testing to increase your conversions. There will be winners and there will be losers. (I’ll monitor daily to avoid big losses). But we’re always learning. Every month, you’ll get a report with progress, insights and new hypotheses.

CRO testing to get more leads
In the final quarter of 2023, I started a CRO project with Hypotheek.winkel, a brick-and-mortar business that offers mortgage comparisons and administration.
After a thoughtful analysis of their home page and two other pages, I created about a dozen UX suggestions and a few dozen hypotheses to increase conversions.
I discovered a few changes with surprisingly little impact on conversions but I also made some tweaks with spectacular results:
On one page, I boosted newsletter subscriptions by 34% with a small change of copy. (95% certainty).
On another page, I increased ebook downloads by 53% after moving some elements. (90% certainty)

CRO Analysis — How does it work?
1. Briefing
Same as above. We get to know each other first. How do you work? What are your expectations? What do you already know about your clients? We go through an onboarding form together so I can delve deeper into your audience and your services or products.
2. Analysis
After taking in all the information you’ve provided, I’ll have a thorough look at your pages and create a report with the UX and CRO improvements you can make. You’ll also get a video. If your plan includes off-page optimisation, you’ll also learn how to improve SEO and page speed.
Need help implementing? My web design agency Poppy Websites can do it for you.
3. Follow Up
A CRO Analysis should increase conversions. But it isn’t an exact science. What works for 99% of websites might not work for yours. That’s why I’ll follow up in 4-8 weeks, check how it’s going and suggest further changes. In the exceptional case where this is needed, I’ll continue doing this until your conversions go up.
